Where to play pickup hockey in Geneva

Where to play pickup hockey in Geneva?

Several rinks in the canton run open hockey sessions, including Vernets, Sous-Moulin, Carouge, Bernex and Plan-les-Ouates. Each sets its own days and hours.

The rinks list brings them together, with the address, the next session and a calendar subscription for each.

When does the season start?

Each rink publishes its own dates. The season generally runs from autumn to late winter.

Each rink’s page shows its own, and its status says whether it is open today.

What gear is needed?

Gloves are mandatory at most of the rinks tracked, and helmets are mandatory or recommended. Every rink whose gear has been checked rents out skates.

Each rink page details what it requires. When in doubt, the rink has the final word.

What level is needed?

A session is open to everyone unless stated otherwise. Some are reserved for parents with children aged 8 and under, or for experienced players.

The label appears on the session, next to its time.

How to tell if a session is cancelled?

A cancelled session stays listed, struck through and marked “Cancelled”. The calendar subscription flags it too.

How to get the schedules in a calendar app?

Each rink offers a calendar subscription, updated every week. A combined calendar covers all rinks.

How it works explains the update delays.
