How it works

A simple site that keeps itself up to date.

Where do the schedules come from?

Every week, the site reads the schedule each rink publishes on its own official website. Nothing is typed in by hand. When a rink changes its hours, the update shows up here automatically the following week.

How does the calendar subscription work?

Every rink has a “Subscribe to calendar” button. “Apple Calendar” and “Google Calendar” set up a subscription that updates itself automatically, so you never need to redo it. “Other app” downloads a file to import once into your calendar app: it does not update.

For Outlook and most other apps, “Copy calendar link” copies the subscription address. Paste it into the option that adds a calendar from a web address.

Two delays add up: the site rereads the schedules once a week, then your calendar app rereads the subscription at its own pace, often after several hours. A last-minute change may therefore not show up right away; when in doubt, the rink’s official website is the reference.

Is this an official site?

Geneva Open Hockey isn’t run by the rinks or by any local authority. It’s an independent project that gathers public information. If you’re ever unsure about a schedule, check directly with the rink.
